success and fame are not the same ones. How can you compare Madona with Helen Keller.?
I believe the world is failing to find out the difference between fame and success. Today’s generation takes fame as a success.
Why most of the icons are fail to become a legend. My million dollar point is why?
Most successful people follow their dreams and achieve things that bring great meaning to their lives. For a very few, lightning will strike and they will become famous. But for most, the satisfaction will come from a job well done and a life well-lived.
I’m gonna live forever
I’m gonna learn how to fly, high…
I’m gonna live forever
Baby, remember my name.
In 1980, when the movie Fame came out -++3
But I know for certain that they watched the television show inspired by the film that ran from 1982 to 1987. I remember people were belting out the lyrics.
fame and money both had captured the complete society. Most of the people are considering gaining fame means becoming successful. That is more tragic. Of course, I consider it a tragic part of life.
I suspect most of the people who work hard at something harbor a fantasy that they may achieve both success and fame. I self-published a very modest book called Terribly Strange and Wonderfully Real back in 2016. In keeping with my outlook on life, I valued the process and was proud that I had accomplished my goal. The book contained the thoughts and memoirs of my life. Just confessing, it was a success for me. I declined to make an effort to promote it and yet, like anyone who bothers to write a book, I had a secret thought that someone would discover my book and hand me a minute of fame.
Mission accomplishment has no relation to fame. For a mother, bringing her 4-5 children with limited resources, settling them in the right place, making them better until the end of life is nothing but a mission accomplished. I really, like it and love it. Does it is called ‘success’?
I believe, tireless actions and efforts of thousands of hours involved in making some great dream true and live is nothing but a matchless success. it has nothing to do with fame.
I sincerely like Michael Jordan for his great words, ” I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
I fail to understand the concept of a perfect life. How do you measure a perfect life? Money, or satisfaction or peace or love or balance life or pleasure or actions are affecting one life at a huge level, probably every year. How it is to be considered on the surface of society is a million-dollar question in my eyes.
I believe true success is using potentials at the optimum level without corrupting your values. Whether you earn fame or not that is a second story. Steering life with values to use potentiality at the best level is call a successful life. Never try to earn fame out of it, it may come or not come, does not matter at all.
why icons fail to become legend.? My question is purely connected with values.
