MY BEST IS YET TO COME
After winning Oscar award, Performer A.R. Rehman reveals, “Today is the beginning of my career.”
At any age of life always think that “MY BEST IS YET TO COME”. Bollywood hero Amitabh Bachan is still performing at the age of 66 years dynamically when usually people get retired at this age. His work is his meditation. How can anybody retire from his work? At the age of 60, Aussies show jumper Laurie Lever
At the age of 60, Laurie Lever has made his debut in the equestrian event of Beijing Olympics as the showjumper representing Australia. At the age of 80, Ray Moon is still participating in the world’s best body building competition. My grandmother, not to be taken out of this category, is still at the age of 76 awakes at 4:30 AM for spiritual development.
Life is an opportunity to perform at any age and to create wonders every day.
Let our grandson feel that his grandfather had a wonderful way of working and is yet creating his best.
I am now 76 years old and could easily retire. But, I have not taken retirement and even I don’t plan to retire. I don’t believe in retirement. People usually ask me: Why have you not taken retirement? Simply, I have a life motto – “Live life always in action”
Living life with action to me means that most of my important work is always ahead of me, never behind me. I believe that “Where much is given, much is required.” I have a sacred stewardship to contribute and not yet to retire to leisure. Also, the greatest way to serve my 50 grandkids is not just to love them and tend to their interests and needs but to set an example as a person who is constantly making a difference in the world.
Start living your life in action and remember your most important work is ahead of you, not behind you. There is so much more to do, to learn and to contribute to the world in the betterment of humanity while filling their lives with joy and happiness.
Every year that passes is another stepping stone to greatness.
Dear Shailesh Sir, Happy Birthday to you from TGRPL Staff Member,
God gave a gift to the world when you were born; a person who loves and cares, who sees a person’s need and fills it, who encourages and lifts people up, who spends energy on others rather than himself, who touches each life he enters & makes a difference in the world. May the love you have shown to others return to you multiplied.
Days have passed into years, you have become better with time. May you continue to become better with each birthday you enjoy.

WHAT IS COMMON IN ABHINAV BINDRA, A.R. REHMAN AND M.S. DHONI?
Commitment to excellence is their DNA
Winning is their habit and they always perform at Wow! Stage. Aiming for perfection and winning the competitive edge are the things for what they crave constantly and add them to their attitude. The next thing is performance. During any moment of the day, their performance is EXCELLENCE. Performance is their language and they understand the language of result only.
Regardless of season they march towards rock climbing success. Even in tough time their eyes do not move away from excellence. Commitment, giving 100 percent, focusing on performance are their key ingredients to success.
Let me share some of the great leaders with you. Abhinav Bindra in shooting range is demonstrating
leadership with this DNA. He made it possible for the first time for India, in the history of Olympics’ at Beijing, China. Recently, A R Rehman in OSCAR awards, made it happened for the Bollywood of India. M S Dhoni is creating pressure on New Zealand cricket team by his leadership. These leaders are living on the edge of EXCELLENCE. Certainly, there are people in the organisation who wrote the lessons of EXCELLENCE by their performance silently. (I repeat, silently without any supervision.)
Meeting challenges and riding over obstacles are in their blood cells. Transferring stumbling stones into opportunities with conviction and leading towards ‘WOW’ level is the essence of their success.

INNER BALANCE
Holistic health is fostered through Physical, Mental and Spiritual balance. What is leaders’ top priority?
‘Clean oxygen in lungs.’
Aim to balance mind, body and emotions with spirit. Life is a blessing of God to live. So, unwind and forget about the troubles of the day and week, and enjoy every gentle nurturing. Inner engineering brings you happiness to leave aside all the tensions at the door. Experience the balance inside yourself by suggestive therapy.
Asanaa (yoga postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, relaxation, positive thoughts and actions are the essentials which make your attitude. Healthy diet is a secret of real inner engineering.
Using these yoga techniques for balancing yourself can help you improve or maintain your health, and prevent illness or diseases.
“Integration and harmony between thought, words and deed, or integration between head, heart and hands is essential to lead a great life,” it is promptly said in the ‘Rule of yam’ in Patanjli (the most powerful book on inner engineering).
“He’s the best physician who knows the worthlessness of most medicines,” said Benjamin Franklin.
I firmly agree with his statement.
Here are some top tips for a healthier working day
Make it mandatory to exercise for 40 minutes in a day whether it is Swimming, Stretching, Running or any other therapy.
Always follow meditation of 20 minutes. Body travel exercise is the best method in my eyes.
If you want to eat more – eat less.
Walking during lunchtime not only helps in fitness but also wakes you up and stimulates the metabolism.
Never go to bed after taking a heavy dinner. Always keep a gap of at least 90 to 120 minutes.
Avoid water during and after eating. Drink water after 60 to 90 minutes. Your body will automatically ask for water after 60 minutes. Let your body generate water for digesting food. (I am doing it from last 12 years, it works.)
Always avoid late night drinking habit.
Sleep of 7 to 8 hours is the real secret of your sound health.
Never, ever skip breakfast. It gets your metabolism started and helps you maintain energy throughout
the day
Jog before work - it wakes you up and prepares you for the day; fitness also makes you feel more confident and alert.
Carbohydrates make you drowsy. Try to avoid them – they may be filling but a large sandwich with chips will just send you to sleep.
If you need a pick me up at work, save coffee for the afternoon – don’t have it just because it’s there. Caffeine makes your energy levels yo-yo, and if you take sugar as well your blood sugar levels swing dramatically - making you feel even more tired.
Exercise provides a psychological boost by releasing chemicals in the brain which help relieve feelings of stress or anxiety - making your working day far more enjoyable.
The list of possible exercises to do at work is endless. Don’t be afraid to try something out – be creative! Remember, INNER ENGINEERING is a must for your life.
