PostHeaderIcon Right means walk on talk

“ The caliber of a person is not how well he prepares for everything to go  right but how he stands up and moves on after everything has gone wrong” said by very dynamic young man Mr. Hetal Dave by today morning to me.

Global slowdown has created a tough time for lots of business leaders. Most of the strategy is fail. Most of the planning is fail. Goal sating programme is miserably fail in the current time. Conditions beyond control have affected your self and life and organisation.

which resource you should investigate and at what place to stand RIGHT.

In my eyes, biggest resource is your own self and your inside. Now you have to get up and stand tall. Tough.  Very tough. YES!

How you are with your values? How you are with your habits? What happened to your norms and ideology when things go wrong?

I come across huge examples where things go wrong people stand up differently. First they change their words. Not walking on talking is a culture and practice at large in the country when a thing goes wrong, People have logics and reasons to defend themselves. But that’s not true.

Standing “RIGHT “means what

RIGHT is to stand tall with words, values and commitment.

These people will never stand as a behavior model in their own community and society. Who will remember them after 50 years? They cannot preside any team .Leadership is always performance never position.

WALKING ON TALKING. No reasons. No excuses. No logics .No arguments. Only actions and only results.

“WORNG” doesn’t mean you are fail….it just means you have to try one more time. That’s all.

Who has not faced WRONG situation? Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. APJ Kalam, Dr. Kurian, Martin Luther king, Nelson Mandela  and Thomas Alwa Edison all have faced WORNG. These great leaders have decided to stand RIGHT  by actions with values and accomplish the mission .

Accomplishment is everything.

PostHeaderIcon PAIN – THE FUEL FOR SUCCESSFUL JOURNEY

“The great art of life is the sensation, to feel that we exist, even in pain,” said Lord Byron.

“A month before we were shipped off to Vancouver. I was trained for five days a week. It was boot camp training and I have never been sore in my life. Oh! My God! They kicked my butt. It was out of control. The latex suit showed all my contours so it was something I had to do. The guys had foam suits which had the muscles ready to cut into them. I had two trainers who would be screaming at me and I was almost in tears everyday. I was doing this workout everyday. About an hour and half but it was constant. Towards the end, we were doing dead lifts of 155 pounds. These were the things, which I have never imagined myself doing them. They pushed me to the limits,” said actress Malin Akerman for the film WATCHMAN

Yes! She is right. One should go under such torture. “There is no pain as great as the memory of joy in present grief,” is said by Aeschylus.

You can gain after pain. Smooth roads never travel to rock climbing success.

“We must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our journey,” said by Kenji Miyazawa.

Pain is the part of life. You cannot dream of life without pain. Rejecting pain means rejecting success. A woman becomes mother after undergoing lots of pain. Ever best creation of the creature, takes place only after an unbearable pain suffered by a woman. That paining process defines mother’s new incarnation. It is rightly said that this is the new birth of a woman. You can understand the intensity of pain and sufferings up to what extend a woman has tolerated.

A true success comes after pain. Mother Teresa quotes, “I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.”

“Given the choice between the experience of pain and nothing, I would choose pain” was profoundly supported by William Faulkner.

“India may be lucky with 6 percent growth; but spare a moment for a thought for those thousands who are in pain,” said Omkaar Goswami recently in the article of Business world, under the heading of ‘Understand their pain’.

Right now in the country, people who all are in automobile, diamond, export, foundries, machinery, cement plants, textile, chemical, etc…are smashed out by the current affairs and are found in pain.

How are they dealing today’s crunch? YES! They will come out faster than the research papers and figures will be traced out by various organisations. But today, they are in pain and they all will see better tomorrow and blooming rainbows in their lives in upcoming time.

I have watched the shortest distance between pain and success.

PostHeaderIcon “DO BEFORE DIE” IS A NEW SAYING

Do or Die is an old saying. Now, the new saying is “DO BEFORE YOU DIE.”

Are you a doer, planner or dreamer?

“Talk doesn’t cook rice” Chinese Proverb.

People are excellent with paper work, paper planning, deliberation and delegation also. Few are doers. Today morning, in New Zealand, Gautam Gambhir became a doer. His performance has helped India to come out from the shameful failure and India was able to maintain lead in the series because of his ‘DOING’ attitude.

Doing is everything. Doers never expose themselves, their doing expose themselves. Let your accomplishment and achievement speaks. When you have to speak about your doings, it means you are not even half-way.

Arnold H. Glasow says very profoundly, “An idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger than the brain cell it occupied.”

Doers command respect and control life. They design their destiny even in stubborn time and concord all the obstacles.

Lord Herber explains it in a very simple way, “The shortest answer is doing.”

The more you have ‘DOER’ attitude, your creditability will be double. People may doubt your words but they will never doubt your actions. Actions with speed in a specific direction, creates only wonders. You will reach to the place in life, which you have not dreamt of. Aroma of your actions will generate trust in the people. Right actions today and tomorrow will create rainbow in your life, which can shelter people around you with smiling face.

Virginia Satir (American Psychologist and Educator, 1916-1988) wrote very specifically;

“I am Me. In the entire world, there is no one else exactly like me. Everything that comes out of me is authentically mine, because I alone chose it — I own everything about me: my body, my feelings, my mouth, my voice, all my actions, whether they be to others or myself. I own my fantasies, my dreams, my hopes, my fears. I own my triumphs and successes, all my failures and mistakes. Because I own all of me, I can become intimately acquainted with me. By doing so, I can love myself and be friendly with all my parts. I know there are aspects about myself that puzzles me, and other aspects that I do not know — but as long as I am friendly and loving to myself, I can courageously and hopefully look for solutions to the puzzles and ways to find out more about me. However I look and sound, whatever I say and do and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time is authentically me. If later some parts of how I looked, sounded, thought, and felt turn out to be unfitting, I can discard that which is unfitting, keep the rest, and invent something new for that which I discarded. I can see, hear, feel, think, say and do. I have the tools to survive, to be close to others, to be productive, and to make sense and order out of the world of people and things outside of me. I own myself, and therefore, I can engineer me. I am me, and I am Okay.”

Lot more is inside in doing instead of saying.

“Action is the last resource of those who know not how to dream,” said Oscar Wilde.

PostHeaderIcon THE NEW MIND SET IS PROBLEM SOLVING, NOT PROBLEM MAKING

Most of the part of the world is facing SLOW DOWN.

In such a situation, what can be my role to make my organization survive in such turbulence?

Be a solution, not a problem. Be a part of the team not apart from the team. Be proactive, not wait for good time to come. Be an opportunity sicker; do not wait for lucky time. Be a listener, not a speaker. Be emotional quotient leader, not intelligence driver. Be a future oriented leader, not a past carrying record holder. Be an important priority driver, not an urgent matter holder.

Be positive, not negative.

I came across a wonderful experience in my MDP (Management Development Programme) in Dubai. I was conducting a session on “CHANGE YOUR THINKING – CHANGE YOUR LIFE.” I asked one of the participants, what is your blood group?

He answered promptly “B +ve.”

I asked, “Repeat.”

He once again replied loudly, “B +ve.”

I asked, “Can you find a meaning of your blood group?”

He was silent. He took a long time to think. Entire hall became spell bound. There was a long and uninterrupted silent. He was staring me….

I said, “Your blood is positive and God has created you positive. But, you are developing a negative attitude in your life unconsciously. You may find less difference between positive and negative attitude but it makes major difference in your life. Why are you showing negative attitude in such a critical time?”

What is your actual role in the company now days?

Notice and re-evaluate your role, right now in the company. Meet your boss with a request for 10 minutes to have a counselling session. Try to know and ask him these questions, “Whether I am performing my role up to satisfaction and up to expected level or I have to leverage my performance.” Try to understand your role from peers, boss or well wishers, who are in the company and wants you to improve for better tomorrow.

Always try to position yourself positively in the company. Remember, your one of the major understandings is to know what are your peers expecting from you? You must ask one question to yourself; “Why am I paid? What is the cause to pay me heavily?”

You have to become responsible for what purpose you are in the company. Find significant difference every year in your performance, especially during recession time.
