Inner Ability That Sparks Outside Success
November 10, 2012

You are the only person on earth who can use your ability — Zig Ziglar

Ability is the capacity or talent that enables one to achieve a great deal in life. Most of us underestimate ourselves as challenges and adversities make us fearful keeping us stagnant in thought and deed. Slowly mediocrity sets in and our performance turns average. This is regrettable as we are born to shine and not to fail by failing to realize our own ability.
When faced with adversity fear could cloud your vision in not appreciating your ability, though ability itself remains unharmed. Success in life is a common goal for every person be it rich or poor. The need therefore is to cultivate positive thoughts so that optimism brings success in life.
Success does not come to the timid. It needs boldness and courage as catalyst so that abilities are put to proper use. Without utilizing abilities through boldness and courage no rich person howsoever admired he or she can lead a life of happiness.
If we look at successful people, we can see that their success was the result of their “never-say-die” attitude. These are the people who set goals in life ignoring the word ‘inability’ and plunging into every act of theirs in bold and calculated fashion. Whether it was the great Dhirubhai Ambani who started his career as a petrol pump attendant in a faraway place or the superstar Amitabh Bachchan who from a nondescript background rose to be a superstar all had followed the same formula of success through their striking abilities. Gaining or utilizing one’s abilities has to come naturally as we grow by so that courage and boldness too is developed simultaneously with time.
To be successful without using one’s abilities is impossible. Bold men with firm determination to attain success are courageous enough to exhibit their abilities without being reckless. Taking risk, and not being reckless, is an art that comes with proper consideration of one’s abilities.
Certain impossible deeds can be achieved if one has the boldness and courage to recognize their true abilities which they posses. History is replete with instances such as Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay who did just that when they overcome all hurdles to reach the pinnacle of glory where no man had ever reached.
The world has changed with emergence of new technological breakthroughs and systems. Today one needs to surpass tough competition and only those who are determined to achieve success can make it big, really big. Ability therefore is one of the most important factors in building a successful career. A person who proves his ability can counter various problems and form a courageous decision of recognizing the capacities embedded in him. He can judge his strength and weaknesses. Whether it is success achieved in academics or business administration it can only be through tapping our inner abilities to challenge and overcome the tough task a competitive society offers. Mere desire for success is not enough as long as there is no right assessment of one’s own abilities.
All of us can develop our abilities to blossom into extraordinary talents. Let the world realise your abundant abilities. It is time you prove your worth to the world by showing results and breaking previous records. It is rightly said that the highest reward God gives us for good work is the ability to do better work.
