MORAL AUTHORITY VERSUS POWER AUTHORITY

Currently, whether the time is bad or good, the key to this time is to live with moral authority or power-based leadership. In my humble opinion, people should live with moral authority. Universal principles like trust, integrity, honesty, love, transparency and commitment are the core values of the life or centrally placed in the life. Even today, I cannot dream about life without these principles. World has experienced and realised the benefits of such principles through the life of Jesus Christ, Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther king, Nelson Mandela and Dalai Lama. Universe has always benefited by principle driven leadership. Values at large benefited Humanity.

At the time of crisis, principles greatly influence the life of people. People tend to become humble and that is the way of living. Values make people humble and God conscious. Spiritual leadership is developed in the community and it becomes a trend of happy living, both at work place and in personal life.

I am a witness of the earthquake in Gujarat, India on January 26, 2001. It was a massive earthquake and people became panic. Nearly, 3000 people had lost their lives within 5 minutes and there was a loss of millions of dollars. I found that people became humble, helpful and fair with each other. People turned towards spirituality also. From selfishness to selflessness a positive curve was found because of this crisis. In crisis, humbleness centric leadership is demonstrated.

Why we cannot live such leadership permanently?

I cannot imagine leadership without morality and humanity. History is a witness to such leadership. Community should open themselves to new learning of principles. Each of us is a leader–either in our roles at work, at home or in our individual, personal lives. Are we humble enough to center our lives on principle? Humbly, people should go for maximum advantage of principle centric life and seek maximum opportunities, in current time, may be a bad time or good time. Can I go for some initiatives and can I take decision of changing my life with small principles, professionally or personally? Small improvement is possible therefore change is possible.

In current world, value authority is a way of life.
