Reading: Books are uniquely portable magic.
“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies . . . The man who never reads lives only one. I do agree. I believe a room with good books is an example of a well-cultured family. You can have a life long relationship with them. A Book is able to create a new civilization.
A very well impression in the society that a person who could not be trusted more if he/she is not carrying good books with them.
A cup of tea, live music, absolute nature, and a friend with heart have the power to change the situation and state of mind. It has the power to raise your standard and take you to new heights from ordinary.
I find it educative. Able to create a classic line between you and your breathing time. It has the power to turn your ordinary condition into new heights. Some of the books force you to change your belief.
A drawing room with a lovely bookshelf on the wall is nothing but a proof of a well-cultured family and a deep sense of understanding. You cannot stop them when they are reading. Hopefully, the library is a wonderful culture of the world.
IF God is happy with me and asked me to add one more day to a week and further asked me what shall be done for the whole day?
My answer is Reading.
I will be glad to note the eight-day as a reading day.
I firmly believe that books have the power to change life anyone. Reading a book is able to change the life of a person. I have no idea and plan to go into the life of anyone but any person can change a life with reading habit could bring bright tomorrow.
I have seen a few people in life for whom reading is nothing but a world for them. I also know a person who kept a book with him in the pocket. If you do not know how to read a book these days could be treated like an uneducated person in the 21st century. You could certainly carry some good part of it with you in life.
Walt Disney asserted very well that “There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island.” I see it as a treasure in life.
Many resources indicate that the average reading speed of most adults is around 200 to 250 words per minute. College students, probably because they must practice reading, move that pace up a notch to around 300 words per minute. To put this into perspective we can turn to public speaking and the comparison of the rate of speaking and the rate at which people can comprehend the spoken word.
An experienced public speaker will deliver his or her message at a rate of about 160 words per minute. It is possible to speak more rapidly, but it is recommended that readers for recorded books speak at around this pace because it is comfortable for most listeners. However, some speakers – such as auctioneers – can speak at a rate of up to 400 words per minute. By comparison, we form thoughts at around 1000 – 3000 words per minute, which gives the average listener lots of time to wool-gather, plan menus, and argue with the speaker.
