"The only mission of life is to ‘Live’. On this earth live every moment to its fullest. This is the only essence of a successful life. People have define life by 200 definitions but I would like to narrate life as - Life has no other meaning except living."

| HONESTY AND RESPECT TO THE ORGANISATION |
| June 22, 2009 |
| |
Honesty and Love towards work are the basic tools of an organization. The success of business house purely dependss on integrity and honesty. How can an employee rate the organization in creditability quotient? How will top management be able and capable enough to generate the image of the organization in the mind of the team?
Trust and love have to be two-way with equal contribution from both the sides. Telling truth in the company shall be a code of conduct. Suppose, a new employee joins the organization then he follows the conduct of speaking truth and respecting seniors.
Fraud and doubts will stop at the main door only. Imagine a case, where an employee believes in truth and love; but, witnesses unfair practices and sometimes, his boss follows such practices. What will happen to his integrity? In such instances, it is really very difficult to become honest in the workplace. People prefer short cuts and Yes-man ship to move ahead faster on the ladder of corporate. Someone with high commitment, hard work and strong values suffers when an employee with short cuts goes to peak faster than integrated person. In such case, frustration can be high and fumble the own thinking. I strongly recommend not to deviate from code of conduct and principles.
One has to be very much honest and firm with his principles and values, follow his conscience, and never allow short cuts in life. Of course, at the end of life, someone who had followed may grow monetary. But, honest and respected person has different dignity and power in his own eyes. Even when he dies, he can be remembered and recalled by his well wishers for years. I firmly believe that values and conduct can be transferred to the next generation instead of donating million of rupees. Millions of rupees can be disappearing but values from his life cannot disappear.
In today’s world, where day to day life is becoming very competitive. Rapid growth has become a language of success. To achieve success people may prefer to go to any extend and prefer shortcuts. But, in my eyes, all this success will be superficies. It cannot be a concrete and solid accomplishment for which you and your generation feel pride and honour.
I would like to conclude today’s Monday wisdom with the message of high integrity, hard work, commitment to organization and code of conduct. These all will help you in creating lasting success. People with shortcuts and Yes-man ship may win and climb faster the ladder of corporate world but they will never be treated with respect and honour by their colleagues.
Living with code of conduct and integrity is a way of living the life. |
