CAN WE LEARN FROM BOLLYWOOD ACTORS AS ACTORS ARE THE BEST TRAINERS
July 27, 2009
Recently, while receiving IIFA Award for Life-Time Achievement Award, Rajesh Khanna said, “40 years and 180 films had made me tall to receive such award.”
Yes, we have to learn non-stop contribution and consistency in the field, where you have decided to contribute. People generally change fields and live without mission.
Film star Akshay Kumar was shooting for the film “WAQT”. He had a dance sequence of 19 seconds. He had been shot for 19 hours continuously in the studio to have realistic effects. Commitment to work and dedication towards profession and personal bonding after the professional career can be visualized in such commitments.
Amitabh Bachchan was in bad time and was passing through crisis in his life. He had no films. One morning, he got up at 4-00 and sitting in his house was doing introspection. What he should do? He decided to sell his strength very powerfully. His strength is acting. He started selling acting in the world.
He stood up and got ready to meet film producer Yash Chopra. He said, “I do not have work in hand and will you please sign me for a film “MOHABBATEIN.” Yash Chopra signed him and Amitabh said, “Thank you for an opportunity.”
Can we learn courtesy from a legendary actor?
Kareena Kapoor said, “She loved to eat food but she cannot eat as she has to keep up with zero figure body.” She followed yoga and diet very sincerely. “I know, I like to eat but I won’t eat. I had put tremendous amount of efforts to achieve this level in the industry.” We need discipline and diet consciousness. We also have to put unparallel efforts to prove the professional efficiency.
When K. Asif has decided to make film, “Mughal-e-Azam,” he had signed Naushad as a music director and Sahir Ludhianve as a writer. Sahir Ludhianve had written song “Jab pyaar kiya to darna kya, pyar kiya koi chori nahi ki” for 112 times. Naushad had rejected song for 112 times and after all those value added efforts, he had approved the song. We have to see matchless commitment and egolessness of Sahir Ludhianvi to create a master song. Investing 112 efforts for one song is showing us the character of ‘Commitment to work and creation.’
Amir Khan is doing only one qualitative film every year. He had declared, “I will do only one film and one in a year, I will not work in many films at a time. I will not attend any award function and will not participate for awards. Recently, he had created film “GHAZANI.” In this film, he had to show his body and muscles. He had gone to gym for 13 months non-stop, daily for four hours at the age of 44 years. This shows what amount of commitment he has for his work. Commitment towards his field and determination for performance.
Shah Rukh Khan has created film “OM SHANTI OM.” This film was been shot in Banglore and he lived in Mumbai. He caught the morning flight from Mumbai to Bangalore. He reached studio at 10-00 a.m. He shot for the day. In the evening, nearly at 8-00 p.m. he took flight for Mumbai and went to gym for workout for at least 2 hours. He completes exercise, takes shower and then go home at midnight. He takes dinner at home with family and the next day, morning, from Mumbai to Bangalore for consecutive 9 months time. This demonstrates hard work, involvement in work, commitment to professionalism and attitude of bringing out best from within.
EARLY TO RISE AND EARLY TO CLOSE
Akshay Kumar is an early riser. The actor does not miss his daily workout even for a day. And, his habit is not limited to only when the actor is in town. He is known to go to great lengths to follow his regimen even when shooting outdoors.
Bollywood actress Ashwarya Rai said, “I need sleep of net 7 hours. Sleep is a secret of my beauty. I would love to close early for my sleep. Sleep is the secret of my beauty.”
Do you know the number one priority of professionals?
CLEAN OXYGEN IN LUNGS AND CLEAR HEALTH REPORT
Film star Sanjay Dutt is entering in full circle of 50 years and has no intention of slowing down. There are times when I do not feel my age at all. But, there are also times when I feel like I have lived and seen more than just 50 years. But, at heart, I am still young.
He shares about his life, “It’s been a long and tiring journey, but I have no complaints. I have lost and found many amazing people along the way. Each brought their own joy and pain. But teach experience taught me the most valuable lessons of the life. Not in my wildest dreams I could ever imagine life would be turn around to be the way it has. But then that’s what life is all about…unpredictable and enough twists on its own.”
Sanjay is on the right path and focusing on tomorrow. At no point of life, we all have to turn back and feel regrets. Past is like a return cheque which we cannot encash any time. We should accelerate the speed and marching ahead towards right direction to reach the place where we have not reached before.
I would like to conclude today’s MONDAY WISDOM with the message that; “Can’t we start seeing film with learning attitude? I appreciate it as a fun and entertaining programme. We have to open eyes and ears then only we can learn lessons of life from people around us. We all should learn from the people around us and sharpen our skills and enhance our knowledge to place ourselves in the world at best peak.”
