LEARNING IS MEANT TO BE A LIFELONG PURSUIT

21ST Century is a period of knowledge. Knowledge can be gained only if we have learning attitude. Learning is a process of self improvement. Most of us are not complete, so we are in the journey of improvement process so that we can have balance roles in life.

Present time is the period of learning, unlearning, re-learning and de-learning. We all have to de-learn lot of concepts as most of them are outdated and it has no value. Most of the new ideas are coming to the world every day. World is also changing so fast such that in a highly fast world, we can live with pride only if we have learning attitude. We have to sit and decide to learn in order to achieve international benchmark.

One has to learn web 2-0 technology and word process to remain updates in the communication and technology world.

Learners never fail, teachers do fail. No teacher can help you unless we have attitude to learn. Learning gaps the skill deficiencies enhances knowledge and improve attitude. Learner has to find out the right master for the process. Master can be approached with dignity, respect and open mind. Sydney J. Harris said very profoundly, “A winner knows how much he still has to learn, even when he is considered as an expert by others. A loser wants to be considered an expert by others, before he has learned enough to know how little he knows.”

Learner learns and applies such knowledge and then they have experience. New experience always coaches us. True learning is only possible by knowledge and experience. Bill Gates said, “In life, we have experience and results, and we learn through that. In academics, we have examination first and then results. ” Life is experiencing at every step and true learning is only possible by applying knowledge which we have learned by master. Masters have also explained experiences but your experiences can be different than master.

Gaining knowledge and experiencing that knowledge is a real process of learning. Here the learning circle completes.

True leadership is knowledge and experience in the field of functioning. Leaders always live with new ideas and change themselves with new possibilities. Practicing new ideas and new learning make us more powerful.

Leonardo da Vinci’s talent was extraordinary and so was his learning ability. These all evidences are found in his notebook. Founder of Microsoft Bill Gates purchased one of his note books. He has also displayed highly learned mind. Picasso produced 178 pictures in his lifetime but before final painting, he was doing studies and exploring theme.

I would like to conclude today’s MONDAY WISDOM with this message: “Things that initially make us successful are rarely the things that keep you successful. To be successful and to remain successful we have to upgrade our skills, enhance our knowledge and change our attitude.”
