Age: The Most Vital and Significant Factor in Life
September 7, 2009
Age is the most important factor and it has significance in life.
There are two types of ages: physical and mental ages.
Recently, in Canada, survey has taken place to define the old man and age. Surveyor went to people of age group 40-50 years and all had said, we are young, never old. Then, they went to the age group of 60-70 years to define old age, all said no, we are young. They went to age group of 70 years and above, all had said that they are not old, “We are absolutely young, still I can drive my car and my hands are not shivering, I am even fit for another marriage, who says I am an old man?”
I think old age and young age is a state of mind, it has no relation with physical age.
22 years young man can be old mentally and 75 years man can be young mentally. Age is more mental not physical.
I came across Iqubal Quazi, he is a Pakistan born and most of the time living in Europe and playing tennis regularly. After playing tennis for at least 2 hours, he goes to gym to finish his work out.
In India, strong impression is living, that now I am entering in 51 (Fifty one). Here, the word "one" count as a loneliness, It means start leaving the world, work, home, attachment and accountability. Even your body will not support you and you have to become more spiritual. This impression is inculcated in Wayne like blood in the people. Even, now multi diseases can enter in you and you have to tolerate all that.
I am struck and surprised by such ridiculous thinking.
Amitabh Bachchan is doing work out of 7700 stairs every day, even at the age of 66 years.
APJ Kalam is regularly doing his research work even at the age of 63 years.
I come across a book under the title “People become great after the age of 50 years.”
In fact, you become more mature, more experience, and more worthy. Society can be benefitted more by you. Your decency and your worthiness is an ornamental approach to the society. You are a treasure of knowledge, attitude and skill. Your direction and ideology can be path making process to the world.
Recently, one of my teachers, who taught me lessons in post graduation classes, met me on guru Purnima day, he said, now I am feeling age factor and planning to rest ...I strongly denied and said, please do not stop yourself. Withdrawal from your work is the first signal of old age. You will die now gradually.
I would like to conclude today’s Monday Wisdom with the message that “My ultimate wish is people have death....know when he is on work, active, and work place.”
