"This world is the most beautiful creation and gift of God. The people on this planet are also the beautiful creatures and are always good. My lack of vision is not allowing my eyes to see this incredible world and the heart to feel it."

  MONDAY WISDOM

TIME IS THE SCARIEST RESOURCE

June 29, 2009

“Give me a lever long enough and a place to stand, and I can move the Earth,” said Archimedes.
To lift a heavy object, you have a choice; either to use leverage or not. You can try to lift the object directly, risking injury or you can use a lever, such as a jack or a long plank of wood to transfer some of the weight and then lift the object that way.

By applying the concept of leverage to business and career success, you can with a little thought, can accomplish more than you can without it. Without leverage, you may work very hard but your rewards are limited by the hours you put in. With leverage, you can break this connection and, in time, achieve very much more.

To do this, you'll need to learn how to use the leverage of time (yours and that of other people) resources that is ‘Knowledge’, ‘Education’ and ‘Technology’.

Time Leverage: Using the leverage of time is the most fundamental strategy for success. There are just limited hours in a day that you can work. If you use only your own time, you can achieve only so much. If you leverage other people's time, you can increase productivity to an extraordinary extent.

What is the cost of minute in your life?
You must know the value for every fraction of time. We say, “Time is Money” but we never follow it. Everyday has 86,400 seconds. We spend a day for no reason with anybody. In fact, we have spent Rs. 86,400. Because, we say, “Time is money”. In this way, do we actually value time as money? Time given to all of us is very much limited and we should be very conservative in spending time for unproductive activities. Suppose, your value per minute is Rs. 2.00.And, if you spend 60 minutes unproductively then you have wasted Rs. 120.

You must know productive time and unproductive time
. In productive time, your output is excellent and your creativity is at very high level. You should block such hours for excellent results. During some hours of the day, you are unproductive; I mean your creativity or productivity are at very low level. You should do unproductive works during such hours. By blocking your productive time, your output will be very high during productive hours. When you open your time log, make sure that you are reserving productive blocks for your personal growth.

I would like to conclude today’s Monday Wisdom with the idea: “You should know your most productive time during a day and night. You should use time as money. You have to leverage the time factor for higher results and higher productivity.”
