I am referring zig Ziglar and love to explain about the chef mentioned Thomas Keller of the iconic California restaurant The French Laundry.  “He would always leave me a list of things to do and a couple of times he would write at the top: ‘What is your legacy going to be?’  I always roll my eyes at the word “legacy,” but what he was saying is: Think about your life every day, how you’re going to live it and how you’re going to contribute to the lives of others.”

“What is your legacy going to be?”  What an awesome question.

Ray Bradbury ( Fahrenheit 451 )“Everyone must leave something behind when he dies, my grandfather said. A child or a book or a painting or a house or a wall built or a pair of shoes made. Or a garden planted. Something your hand touched some way so your soul has somewhere to go when you die, and when people look at that tree or that flower you planted, you’re there.

It doesn’t matter what you do, he said, so long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that’s like you after you take your hands away. The difference between the man who just cuts lawns and a real gardener is in the touching, he said. The lawn-cutter might just as well not have been there at all; the gardener will be there a lifetime.”

Are you going to be remembering as most honest person? Are you going to be remembering as best friend in circle? Are you going to be call as live person? Do you think people around you will remember for most of the actions? Do you know what kind of words they will write on wall which is created after you?

It is always too hard for you to write down legacy? What to do with popularity? What to do with name and fame? What

You cannot leave the world without legacy. How you are allowing yourself? What you have done in at least 4 to 5 decades? What people around share in your absence with your name? It is too hard to predict what they are going to write? But what is going to go on in your absence that could be visualized today?

What matter you do is really important? What you stand up for life is equally important? You cannot just live as animal live and pass time and share events. You are man. I repeat you are man. You should not live your name on planet without any legacy. You cannot tolerate to pay such heavy price for wasting legacy. You must protect legacy. You cannot just kill an opportunity to be remembering by future generation with pride. You are in the world to complete legacy.

I have no idea of imposing legacy. I am not asking to live only for legacy. What people will write in you absence, you predict today and live accordingly, just to prove it. You do it because it is your passion and you cannot live without it fullest. You would love to die without it .You prefer to spend moments, I mean, life for one cause without any because.

People around you will write something great. But to force them to write words you have to be almost on war front. Life could be too hard to live with values in current affairs. You need to expected to do what is right? Not to do what is self centric or unfair or wasted interest.

What do we leave behind for others who follow?

“If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”
~ Benjamin Franklin
